Project Overview

The Amazon Deicer Management Facility (DMF) was a first-of-its-kind infrastructure project that supported winter deicing operations at Amazon Air’s primary North American hub. The facility included multiple pump stations, aeration basins, extensive underground piping, and large-scale storage systems designed to manage glycol-laden stormwater and ensure reliable, environmentally compliant operations during critical winter seasons. The team delivered a temporary stormwater system within six months to maintain ongoing operations, managed complex logistics across a large, multi-contractor site with challenging excavation conditions, completed the project on schedule despite demanding site and schedule constraints, and successfully constructed major infrastructure including pump stations, underground piping, and large-scale storage systems.
